Changing the drive is easy. It will not funcyion.
Similar Threads – Replace Pavillion Harddrive. The dv hard drive uses vv5000 ide connector not SATA so you’ll need to get one like this.

Do you already have an account? And if so is there any way to do this so that had dont lose all that? I have 2 Pavilion dv with duo Centrino processors. HP uses an adapter on the end of the drive which you’ll have to take off and put on the new drive.
