The way that people were elected or appointed into the government benefited the government because; it actually kept most of the electing and appointing powers in the government's hands. This system of divided government required separate but overlapping powers. All three branches are interrelated, each branch overlaps but serves separate purposes. The national governments inherent powers are few and far between, but they are important. Some of the inherent powers include the power to make treaties and the power to wage war or make peace. Why did our forefathers divide the government into three pieces? In government the Judicial Branch is very important. The judicial branch could be considered the most democratic because the judicial branch is set-up to protect the people and their rights. The legislative branch deals with the people, not directly, but in similar terms.
